I enjoy building relationships with families through the art of photography. It is extremely rewarding for me to photograph moms to be during their pregnancy, to capture the arrival of their baby, to create the first image of their new family and to continue to document their family growth throughout the years to follow.

I have been fortunate to work with and get to know several families in Strathcona over the past two years. I have created hundreds of images of their children's growth, interests and developing personalities. With each unique collection of photos, I can design personalized photo memory books to document each occasion or each year of the child's life. Bound photo books are such a special gift for a family to have and to share with their loved ones (especially grandparents who live far away).

I am honoured to photograph celebrations such as Blessingways, Christenings, birthday parties, tea parties, family reunions and weddings. My style is candid and quick and I work within each person's comfort zone to ensure a natural, realistic portrait. I aim to offer reasonable pricing, appropriate for the type and duration of event.

Photography has always been a part of my life and I've had a camera in my hands since childhood. For the past 5 1/2 years, I have been creating beautiful photo images of my own daughter's life and have captured moments we will cherish for all time. In the Spring of 2010, I will be blessed with a new photo subject with the arrival of our new baby.

Kids are just so incredible! I love to follow them around with my camera and capture images at just the right moments when their light shines brightest. I am a mom and can be quite patient when wee ones need to take their time to get comfortable, have a snack or get some giggles going.

I enjoy photographing families and large groups and often allow them to pose themselves. When people come together and wrap their arms around each other to cuddle in close, it's just so natural and beautiful.

Pregnancy is such a special time for a woman and her family. Nine months can go by quickly if you are busy with work or other children and often having your photo taken for documentation sake is the last thing on your mind. I encourage women to take the opportunity to set aside an hour or an afternoon during their pregnancy to have some tea, chat about motherhood and allow me to take some photos of their beautiful belly.
